My Bikes


Here's a list of bikes I've owned. Currently, any links are to 3rd party web sites with descriptions or road tests of bikes like mine. Click the back arrow to return to this web site.

  • ~1970 Mini-bike. This was a powered by a Tecumeh 3.5 hp engine. Probably purchased by my folks at Montgomery Wards or a hardware store.
  • 1969 Honda CB450K. Dad brought home from an estate sale or farm auction.
  • 1979 Honda CB750K Purchased as an impulse buy after a good job interview.
  • 1977 Honda CB400F. Purchased from the same dealer as the 750K, but with a bill of sale only, and no title.
  • 1984 Honda CB700SC. My first brand-new bike. The Nighthawk S was purchased after totaling the CB400F.
  • 1982 Honda CBX1050. My dream bike. Puchased from the President of the CB/X Owners Association.
  • 2006 Suzuki SV650. My re-entry bike. First non-Honda. Purchased new.
  • 2008 Yamaha TTR110. Purchased new so that the kids could learn to ride.
  • 2008 Yamaha TW200. Purchased new. Figured it would be more fun to ride with the kids intead of just watching.
  • 2008 Kawasaki KLX140L. Purchased new. Got this for my son, with the TTR110 going to my daughter.
  • 2008 Kawasaki ZG1400A. The Concours 14 was another dream bike. I wanted something a bit more pillion-friendly for rides with my kids.
  • 1982 Honda GoldWing GL1100. My first project bike. The naked Gold Wing was supppsed to be an easy, cheap project.
  • 1995 Suzuki RF900R. The RF still holds the World Speed Record for 24 hours, even though few riders have ever heard of it.
  • 1993 Kawasaki ZX600E. This was a rescue/project bike.
  • 2003 Suzuki SV1000. I traded my SV650 for this bike.
  • 2008 Lance VENICE125. I purchased this scooter for my daughter. It was almost new, with under 100 miles on it.
  • 1983 Honda Silver Wing Interstate GL650I. This rescue bike was purchased to be a companion to my Gold Wing.
  • 1989 Honda VTR250 Interceptor. This bike was in like-new condition in the classic Barbie colors.
  • 1990 Honda VTR250 Interceptor. Another project bike added to the stable.
